Cross Country

On Tuesday 3rd September 2019. Ages 8 to 11 went to Rutherford intermediate for something called Cross country. Before it was cross country day the seniors were practicing running around half of the block. IT WAS TIRING!!! But it made some of them a little faster like me. The teachers are very lucky they don't have to do this! (I wish I was I teacher right now).

The seniors practiced that for about six weeks and then it was the day of... Cross country!!! My head got sore as soon as I saw the huge track. We also had to walk to Rutherford and back my legs were asleep as soon as we got back to school.

We had to line up in the correct age groups in the correct house colours. The first to race was my group (ages 10+ girls). I was going against year six's. We had to do two big laps and at the end I came 11th which is pretty good when you are going against people that are a year older than you and there were around thirty people racing.

What was really cool was that my mum and my brother came to support me. I am proud of how I ran! Bye!

I like your story about Cross Country. I wonder what place you came in?. I like your color of your cross country t-shirt.
